If you have lost your cat in the Shire of Swan contact Julie's Kennels on (08) 9249 1270 immediately to save your cat from being euthanased. The Shire of Swan has euthanased 183 cats since March 2009 (that's 26 cats a month) under new local cat laws which allows your neighbours to legally trap your cats. Act quickly to save your cat!

City of Joondalup
Presently the City of Joondalup formalised cat laws due to come into effect on 1st October, 2009 have been disallowed by the Legislative Council on the 15th September, 2009 and will not be going ahead.
All other metropolitan shires and councils in WA do have shire pounds for dogs however presently local cat laws allowing the trapping of cats only apply in the Shire of Swan.
