Local Cat Laws

If you would like to provide us with a copy of your local cat laws in your Shire or Council to add to our 'Local Laws' page please email a copy in Word or PDF format to enquiries@aussiecats.com . We have found that whilst local cat laws in Australia are generally similar, each Shire can have particular laws or processes that only apply to that Shire or State. We appreciate all of your contributions to educate and inform our cat owner community.

Have Your Say

As a cat owner if you would like to express your opinion or share an experience that has affected you personally because of these new Local Cat Laws please fill out our online form with your comments. We reserve the right to edit submissions for this page if any material is deemed unsuitable. Hopefully by raising the issues with these laws and how they negatively impact on families and their beloved pets we can have some impact in the community to change some of these laws and how they are implemented.

Lost & Found Cats

  • Include the location of where the cat was lost or found and on what dates.
  • Include in the Email Heading - 'Lost Cat' or 'Found Cat'
